Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins is a Mexican-American sportscaster. She is the host of SportsNation and is a SportsCenter anchor. Her first assignment with ESPN in the year 2016. Her mother is Maria Antonieta Collins, a TV reporter. Antonietta is a native speaker of two languages. Since she was nine years old, her ability to converse in two languages allowed her to get a job in Miami as a production assistant for Univision. In her position, she had the opportunity to collaborate with national program producers like Nuestra Belleza Latina. Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. Then, in St. Petersburg, she was employed to the CBS station as an sports reporter. Then, in 2009 the news reporter moved into Rio Grande Valley Texas where she was employed by KNVO TV 48 Univision as and Fox2 News. The stories she covered were about immigration and drug trafficking across both Texas and Mexico. She was also frequently required to act as an anchor for sports and weather. Then she anchor and wrote on Univision's Dallas affiliate Deportes 23 where she was given more responsibilities. She also wrote articles to sports like the NBA, Dallas Cowboys' postseason, NBA ALDS ALCS World Series or Finals FC Dallas. In addition she also co-hosted and produced Univision 23's Accion Deportiva Extra local sports show. She became a sports host on the morning show that is Despierta America Deportes. She held the same position in Primer Impacto magazine and Contacto Deportivo for the UniMas Network. Antonietta Collin's parents originally hail from Veracruz Mexico. In Mexico City she was conceived on November 22nd 1985. She's more mature than her younger sister. The family moved in 1992 to Mexico to the US and settled in Miami. Within a brief time her father split from her mother. She then remarried in 1995 a naval architect called Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo died of kidney cancer in the year 2006. When on vacation Antonietta spent the time at her sister's house in Canton Ohio. Her older Collins brother had recently been offered an offer to work. Antonietta was the senior of her high school and had a very clear vision of what she wanted to do in her future career. She went to Mount Union University in order to see if it was a good fit for her. The result was that she was a fan of the campus, and the university provided the degree she was looking for. She graduated from high school and began studying media at the college. Professor Mark Bergmann, who managed WRMU FM and was student in her class, formed a lasting relationship with her. The passion he had for journalism as well as confidence in herself inspired her. In turn, she attempted to live up to his expectations and never let him down.
